All of our kitchens are bespoke to fit your exact requirements with prices starting at £10,000. An average project you might see on the website is likely to be between £15-30,000.

What does bespoke design really mean ?

Bespoke design means that your furniture is built to fit perfectly to suit you and your home. We do not select from pre-made standard cabinets and then use filler panels at the end of each run. Our designers will come up with something unique for you and we will make each cabinet exactly the right size to fit perfectly in the space it was designed for.

Do you make other furniture apart from kitchens ?

Bristol Bespoke Kitchens is part of Bristol Bespoke Furniture, we make a comprehensive range of fitted and free standing bespoke furniture. We can design and make a home office for you, bookcases, alcove units and wardrobes or anything else you may need.

Do you do projects outside of Bristol ?

We work mainly within Bristol and surrounding areas. Projects further afield may be taken on under the right circumstances.

What sort of materials do you use ?

We use a wide range of materials based on customer needs and budget. Our carcasses are usually made of birch plywood and the doors and frames are usually made from solid wood or made with veneered or birch plywood depending on the design brief. We only use timber and sheet materials which are deemed to be ethical and which carry certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) who promote sustainably managed forests worldwide.

How long will my project take to complete ?

A typical project takes around six to eight weeks from the point that we begin constructing your kitchen to when we begin the installation. The design process prior to this is usually around two to four weeks.

The installation depends on the size of the project. A medium sized kitchen usually takes around one week with larger installations taking between two and three weeks. Please be aware that we have an average lead time of around two months.

What kind of finishes do you provide ?

We use a wide range of finishes dependent on customer choice. Our suppliers include amounts others Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Morrells. We use water-based, low VOC (volatile organic compounds) sprayed lacquered finishes in clear and polychrome which are eco-friendly and have a low odour. For a hand finish we spray all components with two coats of water based primer and hand paint everything upon fitting.

We design and a wide range of handmade free-standing and fitted furniture, unique bespoke kitchens, bespoke cabinets and wardrobes, library, media furniture and home offices. We utilise an array of natural and modern materials including solid wood and wood veneers, stone, laminates, composites and metals. Our furniture is finished with a variety of hand and spray finishes of oils, lacquers and paints, whatever you choose is all carefully applied at our workshop or on site. All our kitchens are handmade, crafted from the best possible materials and infused with a unique sense of style and craftsmanship.

Above all fitted furniture requires accurate measurement of the space into which it is to be placed. Our long experience of designing, making and installing fitted furniture into a wide variety of homes from new builds to Georgian listed buildings, has given us a depth of knowledge and a wide variety of surveying methods which ensure our installations fit perfectly.
Good outcomes depend on good communication. Our drawings are accurate, and we communicate clearly in person, on paper and via email. We institute regular site meetings and build happy, productive relationships with the clients we work for and the companies we work alongside.

The initial response to an enquiry is for us to ask what your furniture needs to do along with some basic measurements that you can provide us with. We will then produce a series of drawings along with an idea of the budget required to finance your project. If after this you decide to proceed, we can discuss your project with you at the workshop or visit your home to carry out a survey, we can then find out what you like and how we can best achieve your ideas. All aspects of your room design, from the desk size and keyboard position, seating to storage for clothes and shoes, is carefully considered so that you achieve comfort and optimal storage. Whether you’re transforming a spare room with a complete suite of bespoke furniture or utilising an unwanted space, Bristol Kitchen Makers offer a free design and planning service to ensure your furniture is exactly how you imagined it. All projects are bespoke to specification and designed using CAD to produce detailed interactive three-dimensional drawings that can be easily and instantly modified and refined in conjunction with each client’s requirements.
All of our built in and fitted alcove cabinets, cupboards, fitted wardrobes, fitted bookcases and fitted home studies are bespoke and made to measure according to your requirements. During the design process we will keep you updated with online drawings based on discussions so you will have a hands-on role in the end result. We make everything in our workshop so you can choose your fitted furniture to be made from and finished with a variety of materials, veneered board or solid timber, ready to paint in MDF, high quality spray painted, French polished, waxed or oiled. Quotes are free and provided without any obligation on your part.
After completion in the workshop we will deliver your furniture to site and install it. This typically takes between two and four days and is carried out with the minimum disruption.
